Dematic automates E-Commerce-Warehouse for Chausson Matériaux with AutoStore
Heusenstamm/Lavaur, July 9, 2019 – Dematic SAS is proud to announce the agreement of a new AutoStore® solution for Chausson Matériaux, a family and independent company specializing in the distribution of building material through its 350 branches (900 M€ of turnover, 3,800 employees).
With this AutoStore® solution implemented inside its historic logistics platform of Lavaur (81), Chausson Matériaux will be able to accelerate the development of its e-commerce business.
The AutoStore® solution is composed of a 16 level grid offering a storage capacity of 26,300 bins (649 x 449 x 330 mm), 35 R5 robots and 4 carrousel ports (3 for picking operations and 1 for replenishment operations).
A Dematic iQ solution will optimize the operations by interfacing the WMS of the customer and the AutoStore® system.
This new AutoStore® project is the 21st one signed by Dematic (for a total of more 500,000 bins, 400 robots and 90 ports). The solution will be operational in June 2020.
