Robotize has implemented a GoPal solution at AVK GUMMI.
Robotize has implemented a GoPal solution at AVK GUMMI in Låsby, Denmark. AVK produces high performance rubber components to a variety of different industry sectors.
AVK Gummi has as part of their LEAN and Industry 4.0 program implemented the Robotize GoPal robot in their production. AVK GUMMI uses GoPal to transport pallets with tools from their tooling department to different machines in the production area. This enables an optimization of the tooling flow, thereby freeing up resources to stay with the machines instead of having to run to and from the tooling department. GoPal is also used to transport finished goods from the production area to the shipping department.
The project is a result of an extensive dialogue with AVK GUMMI, a company with a true interest in implementation of new technology an Industry 4.0 concepts.
AVK GUMMI already early in the product development of GoPal invited Robotize to test drive the robot on their premises, and this cooperation has now resulted in the GoPal implementation at the site in Låsby. There are already further plans with the project; "We plan to implement further pallet stations later when we have fully integrated the first stations," says Kresten Krogh, Production Manager at AVK GUMMI.
AVK GUMMI recently published their newsletter from May, where they wrote an article about the implementation of the GoPal robot solution. Take a look at the article and read about the implementation:
