Great honor in Singapore: Every year, the non-profit organization “Supply Chain Asia” presents awards to people and companies who rendered outstanding services to the logistics sector in the Asia Pacific Region (APAC).
For the first time, WITRON is one of the winners. Together with our customer Pepperl + Fuchs, Win Tun, WITRON sales manager in Singapore, accepted the award in the category “Supply Chain Transformation of the Year” on November 22 in front of more than 500 invited guests at the luxurious “RESORT WORLD SENTOSA”.
The 13 members of the jury, consisting of representatives from renowned Asian companies and universities, were impressed by the leading-edge processes and technologies in the Global Distribution Center (GDC) of the internationally successful manufacturer and distributor of industrial sensor and explosion protection technology.
The GDC is the heart of Pepperl + Fuchs’ Asia Pacific (APAC) logistics network, designed and realized by WITRON, and has been in operation since September 2016. The intelligent processes in the GDC are characterized by numerous highlights: High work quality and cost-efficiency, an innovative goods-to-person solution, leading-edge workstations throughout the entire material flow, an intelligent linking of logistics, production, and distribution processes according to Smart Logistics 4.0, as well as the optimal use of an existing space, which is very important in Singapore.
